HI I'M AARON
I was born and raised in East Oakland, California—a place filled with love, resilience, but also violence and drugs. I grew up in an abusive and unstable home. By the time I was a child, I was already being told that I wouldn’t make it past 18—that I’d end up in jail or worse.
But I refused to let those predictions define me.

I spent my life fighting the odds, learning how to build confidence, find purpose, communicate, and love—without a guide. I had to navigate broken systems, unpack trauma, and figure out who I was, all on my own.
There were struggles. I made mistakes. But I kept moving forward.

Today, I stand as a proud Black man, rooted in my culture and empowered by my story. I became the first in my family to graduate from college—and the first to earn a master’s degree. I’ve spent over 15 years working in education, starting from the ground up, and now serve as the Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Access at the Seattle Theatre Group. I’ve learned to use my voice in rooms where few people look like me, and I never imagined I'd be seen as the expert.

But here I am—and I’m just getting started.

My passion lies in helping young people believe in themselves. I travel across the Pacific Northwest leading workshops, speaking to students, educators, and professionals, empowering them to become influencers, game changers, and believers in their own potential.
One of my greatest joys is being a husband and father. Fatherhood has given me perspective, purpose, and fuel to keep going. That love and stability led to another dream: acting. My wife believed in me before I believed in myself—one day she surprised me with a modeling audition, and the rest is history. I’ve now appeared in commercials, TV shows, and performed spoken word for audiences that include politicians and celebrities. That journey taught me: we’re never too old to dream bigger.

And now, I’ve launched a podcast called From Dad, With Love—a heartfelt and hilarious space where I share the highs, lows, and lessons of fatherhood. It’s about connection, vulnerability, laughter, and remembering that none of us have it all figured out—but we’re in this together.

As I reflect on my journey, I realize success wasn’t just about talent or opportunity—it was about belief. Belief in something greater. Belief in myself.

Let’s meet where you are—and together, we’ll discover the greatness that’s already in you.
